OCC Apparel supplies custom hi-vis shirts, polos, jackets, vests and pants for site, road, event and warehouse teams in New Zealand. We embroider or print your logo locally, show placement on a free mockup, and deliver New Zealand-wide once you approve it.
Hi-vis is safety equipment first and uniform second. We start with the standard your site requires and work your branding around it.
Choosing hi-vis: day, day/night and standards
Start with where and when your team works, then choose the garment.
- Day only: fluorescent fabric for work in daylight.
- Day/night: fluorescent fabric with reflective tape for low light and night work.
- Garment type: polos and shirts for warm sites, jackets and vests for layering, pants for full coverage.
- Standards: your site, contract or safety team sets the standard and class required. Check with them before you order.
- What we list: the standard each garment meets is shown on your quote.
Decorating hi-vis without covering it
Logos should sit clear of reflective tape and avoid covering large areas of fluorescent fabric. Embroidery suits small chest logos, and transfers suit back prints on polyester hi-vis.
Company names across the back are common on hi-vis. Tell us if you also need names, roles or numbers, and we’ll show them on the mockup. Your mockup shows exact placement and size, and nothing is produced until you approve it.
Hi-vis as a uniform program
Hi-vis wears out and crews change. We can hold decorated hi-vis in stock, manage reorders and set up a private OCC OMM™ ordering portal so supervisors order replacements when they need them. Mixed garments are priced on the total quantity, so polos, jackets and vests can go in one order. Tell us which garments each role needs and how often they’re replaced, and we’ll plan stock levels with you.
We only describe a garment as meeting a standard or holding a certification when its manufacturer certifies it.

Which New Zealand standard do your hi-vis garments meet?
We list the standard for each garment on your quote, as certified by its manufacturer.
Will adding a logo affect hi-vis compliance?
It can if decoration covers reflective tape or too much fluorescent fabric. Your mockup shows placement before anything is made.
Can you embroider hi-vis polos?
Yes. Embroidery suits small chest and sleeve logos on hi-vis polos and shirts.
Is there a minimum order for custom hi-vis?
Screen printing has a minimum of 24 pieces per print design.
How long does custom hi-vis take?
Typically 2–3 weeks from artwork approval and payment, or 3–4 weeks in peak periods or for complex jobs.
