Turnaround and minimums
What’s your standard turnaround time?
Average turnaround is 2–3 weeks from artwork approval and payment. During peak seasons or for complex jobs, allow 3–4 weeks. Rush options are often possible, so tell us your deadline when you enquire.
Do you have minimum order quantities?
Screen printing has a minimum of 24 pieces per print design. Offshore custom production has minimums and longer lead times.
What are offshore production lead times?
Allow 3–6 months, including sampling and transit, for custom offshore programs.
Can you meet my deadline?
Usually, yes. Tell us early. It depends on stock, the production schedule and how ready your artwork is.
Brands and garments
Which brands do you supply?
We focus on ethical leaders: Earth Positive, Stanley/Stella and AS Colour, plus complementary options.
Is OCC Apparel an official dealer for Stanley/Stella and Earth Positive?
Yes. OCC Apparel supplies Stanley/Stella and Earth Positive garments in New Zealand through the official brand channels.
Can you help me choose the right garment?
Absolutely. Tell us your purpose, budget and deadline, and we’ll suggest a range from our ethical brands.
Can you decorate caps, bags and accessories?
Yes. Embroidery and transfers locally, plus fully custom offshore options (minimums apply).
Decoration and artwork
Which decoration methods do you offer?
Water-based and plastisol screen printing, embroidery, digital printing (DTG and DTF), heat transfers, relabelling and retail finishing. We’ll recommend the best method for your fabric, artwork and budget.
Embroidery or print – how do I choose?
Embroidery suits caps, beanies and structured garments. Water-based screen printing gives soft, breathable prints on tees and sweats. Digital printing suits fine detail and gradients. Our team will guide you.
What artwork files do you need?
Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) with text outlined and Pantone C colours. If you only have a JPG or PNG, we can usually redraw it.
My artwork has gradients and fine detail – will that work?
We’ll recommend digital printing for fine detail and gradients, or simplify the design for screen printing if needed.
Will I see a proof before production?
Yes. Every decorated order includes a free digital mockup for approval before we begin.
Do you handle relabelling and brand finishing?
Yes. Neck prints, woven labels, swing tags and packaging for a retail-ready finish.
Ordering, pricing and delivery
How do I get a quote or place an order?
Send us your style, colour, quantity and artwork through the quote form. We’ll send a clear quote and a mockup before production.
How is pricing calculated?
By garment choice, decoration method, number of colours and positions, and total quantity. All quotes are itemised.
Can I mix colours, styles and sizes?
Yes. Pricing is based on the total quantity across styles, colours and sizes, not per line.
When do I pay?
Orders are booked once payment and artwork approval are complete. Account terms are available for approved business clients.
Do you ship New Zealand-wide?
Yes. We ship daily across New Zealand and Australia, and international freight can be arranged on request.
Where are you located? Can I visit?
Our New Zealand service runs online, with production through our accredited Auckland production partner. Our showrooms are in Australia, at Currumbin on the Gold Coast and Marrickville in Sydney, by appointment.
Do you offer drop shipping or print-on-demand?
No. We focus on quality, durable garments produced in efficient runs, which gives you better value per garment and a more lasting brand impression.

When was OCC Apparel founded, and what was your first brand?
OCC Apparel was founded in 2004. Our first brand was Beneficial T’s by Patagonia, an early pioneer in certified organic cotton garments.
