WHY OCC APPAREL
An ethical apparel brand with real roots.
More than 20 years supplying and decorating ethical apparel for organizations that reorder every season.
Where we come from
OCC Apparel was founded in 2004 by Nick Barclay, who learned the business at Patagonia. OCC became the first Australian distributor of Patagonia’s Beneficial T’s, one of the earliest organic cotton blank programs in the world. That start still shapes how we work: transparent supply chains, certified garments and claims we can back up.
Today OCC supplies and decorates apparel for organizations in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, and is an official dealer in Australia for Earth Positive and Stanley/Stella.
Why the model works
An Ethical Niche
Organizations increasingly want organic and recycled garments with certifications they can point to. OCC was built on that from day one.
B2B Repeat Orders
Universities, nonprofits, brands, businesses and events order uniforms and merch every season. Studios build relationships, not one-off transactions.
Lean Overhead
No high-street retail. A flexible studio or showroom, a small team, and decoration that can be handled by partners.
What stands behind every studio
- Premium organic and recycled apparel from certified ethical brands
- Screen printing, embroidery, DTG and DTF through our decoration network
- Private-label and offshore manufacturing for clients who need their own styles
- OCC OMM™ online ordering portals for your clients
- OCC Apparel Basecamp back-office support
