WHY OCC APPAREL

Ethical apparel is our origin, not our trend.

A proven B2B model, a growing ethical niche and a team that has been doing this since 2004.

Where we come from

Our founder, Nick Barclay, worked with Patagonia and learned how apparel should be made: transparently, responsibly and without harmful chemicals. OCC became the first Australian distributor of Patagonia’s Beneficial T’s organic cotton program, and since 2004 has grown into an ethical apparel and decoration business serving organisations in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Why the model works

  • Repeat B2B clients. Universities, not-for-profits, corporates, events and brands that reorder every season.
  • A growing ethical niche. Buyers increasingly ask for organic cotton, recycled fibres and certified supply chains.
  • Lean overheads. A studio, not a retail store, with production through partners or your own capability.
  • Technology clients value. OCC OMM™ online ordering portals keep clients ordering through you.
  • Back-office support. The OCC Apparel Basecamp team takes on quotes, artwork and order admin.
